"Civil Union", II March for equality


Peru: April 11th, 2015; Thousands of members of the gay community attended the "II march for equality"
  
Peru: Thousands of members of the gay community and heterosexual supporters attended the "II march for equality" in the main streets of Lima, demanding a law on "Civil Union" allowing marriage between persons of the same sex. The mass ended up at a concert in San Martin square in the down town.

On March 10th, the Congress rejected a bill of Civil Union, presented by Carlos Bruce, current congressman, former minister of state, and the first politician openly gay in the country's history.

On May 18, 2014, in an interview with the newspaper El Comercio, revealed his homosexuality, after much speculation created from boosting Civil Union law on same-gender in Peru, becoming the first politician openly gay in the country's history




Perú: 11 de abril de 2015; Miles de miembros de la comunidad gay (LGTB) y simpatizantes heterosexuales participaron de la “II marcha por la igualdad” en las principales calles de Lima, exigiendo una ley de “Unión Civil” que permita el matrimonio entre personas de un mismo sexo. La multitudinaria marcha termino en un concierto en la plaza San Martin en el centro histórico de la ciudad.

Cabe recordar que el pasado 10 de marzo, el congreso de la republica rechazó un proyecto de ley de Unión Civil, presentado por Carlos Bruce, actual congresista, ex ministro de estado, y el primer político en la historia del Perú en hacer pública su homosexualidad.
